Wayne’s reaction to laying eyes on his bride was so full of joy, it will have you smiling from ear to ear! At that moment, it was easy for me to see how genuine the chemistry is between them. Two of those guests included their very special furbabies Laci & Kodi, who you’ll get to see in the photos below! Nikki + Wayne began their wedding day by exchanging letters and having a first look. Their elopement-style vows took place on the beach of Discovery Park with 11 guests in attendance. Which is ironic because he had actually been practicing getting down on one knee for months before the proposal! From there, the couple began planning their dream wedding day by reliving their favorite past memories and looking to the future to see what was in store for them as they began their life as one! Wayne was so nervous during the proposal that he forgot to get down on one knee. One beautiful summer evening, while enjoying the sunset from their friend’s rooftop in lower Queen Anne, Wayne asked Nikki for her hand in marriage. It was only a matter of time before Wayne was ready to pop the question. Before you know it, Wayne was making casual conversation with Nikki until they planned their first out-of-school date, at Discovery Park! From there, Nikki + Wayne’s paths crossed only briefly, but Nikki couldn’t shake Wayne’s beaming smile and his radiating energy. As fate would have it, one day Wayne was returning to his classroom when he passed by a gorgeous young lady, who literally stopped him in his tracks. While Nikki was working at the same school as an occupational therapist. At the time, Wayne had recently moved across the state to pursue a job as a 6th-grade teacher. Like many of my other couples, Nikki + Wayne’s love story started out as a workplace romance. But if you’re willing to withstand the cold temps (it was 30 degrees that day!), I am so ready to capture your moment! Because their wedding day was on the beach in the PNW in February, it was a little chilly. My bride and groom chose one of the most popular wedding dates of 2022 to celebrate their love story! Referred to as “Twosday”, February 2nd, 2022 was a date comprised of all “2’s”. Nikki + Wayne’s Discovery Park Wedding in Seattle on 2/22/22 was uniquely them!
